Annual General Meeting & Members Dinner

The Annual General Meeting of the Queen Alexandra Community League will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at the Queen Alexandra Community Hall. A members appreciation dinner will be served at 6:00 pm, with verbal committee reports commencing at 6:30 pm. Play-leaders will be available for children.

Celebrate Community League Day with the Queen Alexandra & Allendale Community Leagues, and Scona Pool

Get your 2013/14 Community League membership and join friends & neighbours for swimming, food & fun

Scona Pool is having a Swim for Hunger, food drive from September 21 to 24. Please bring a food donation to fill up the swim deck with food.

Playgroup "Play Date"

Wondering what activities to enroll in this fall/winter? Come try out the QACL Playgroup.

Today is a free "play date." No registration or community league membership is required. Snacks and coffee will be provided. 

This is your opportunity to meet other families in the neighbourhood and ask questions about how playgroup works. If you like it, then you register at or after the QACL Membership Day, taking place on September 21.

Green Shack Playground Program

Children aged 6 to 12 are welcome to join in games, sports, crafts, music, drama and special events hosted by trained leaders. Children under the age of 6 are welcome as well, but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

You’ll find a list of upcoming activities and special events posted on the side of the Green Shack each week.

Front Yards in Bloom!

The largest program of its kind in Canada, Front Yards in Bloom asks neighbours to recognize neighbours for their attractive yards. Anyone can submit a nomination (no self-nominations) and nominations must be for a yard visible by everyone.  The deadline for nominations is June 30.
